The “situation” began when my wife, Kathie, and I attended our granddaughter’s violin concert. In today’s modern times the computer has taken over the job that the C.B Radio had in those earlier years. So, I’m giving myself a computer ‘handle’. We live in tumultuous times. Facebook, twitter and all the other technological ways of communicating have increased our awareness of that fact. Because of this new found ease of communicating two groups have immerged to do battle, liberals vs conservatives. During most of my teaching career being liberal or conservative was not a big concern among fellow faculty members. I didn’t realize it was an intervention at the time but as I look back on the event it is obvious that it was just that. Several years ago I purchased an iPad. I was fencing today. There are two reasons for making a fence. Fences are needed to keep animals out of an area or fences are required to keep animals in an area. Today I was concentrating on keeping animals out of an area. You see it’s nearing pumpkin planting and gardening season so the battle begins between the gardener and the deer population. Deer love to eat anything I plant in the garden. They have a special fondness for pumpkins……
Several weeks ago on Facebook a post was being shared that questioned why atheists who believe in no god insist on attacking and mocking Christians. Why does it bother them that we Christians believe as we do? Maybe God put them here to serve as “belief strengtheners” for all Christians.
