We’ll be celebrating Halloween this Monday and Kathie and I are especially excited about that this year. You see for the past fifteen years Halloween at our house has been extremely boring. All the neighboring farmsteads and country homes are missing the necessary Halloween participants, children! Our county has experienced much excitement this past few months as the estate of a bachelor farmer has been prepared for auction. The actual auction concluded last weekend. You see it was a very unusual auction to say the least! The estate consisted of hundreds of antique cars of all models and years. Also old tractors were included along with hundreds of collector plates. That’s all that the coffee drinking crowd has been talking about for the last six months……
I know I shouldn’t downplay the climate change idea but I live in the middle of North America so the rising seas aren’t going to affect me. Currently my pumpkin patch is not suffering from a drought. Since I live in Minnesota famous for its brutal winters I’d even enjoy a little winter weather moderation. I am currently under a more serious attack and it has nothing to do with changing climates.
